LEWA Plungerpump

LEWA high-pressure plunger pumps

For high-pressure processes in various industries, we provide an efficient and cost-saving alternative to our diaphragm pump series: The LEWA plunger pump is a high-performance and versatile plunger pump for high-pressure applications in various industries.

The high-pressure plunger pump implements flow rates up to 209 m³/h per pump and a maximum pressure of 3500 bar.

LEWA high-pressure plunger pumps
The plunger pump for high hydraulic power.

LEWA high-pressure plunger pumps are primarily used in the oil, gas, petrochemicals and refineries industries. They work against high pressures that occur when pumping and conditioning crude oil and natural gas.

Our high-pressure pumps are robust, quiet, efficient, cost-saving and, thanks to their double-helical gear unit, practically free of axial load. Their space and weight-saving design makes them ideally suited for offshore applications, such as on drilling platforms.

We analyze the requirements for each application and configure the pumps according to all of our customers' specifications. We provide a flexible selection of materials, special offshore designs and painting according to customer specifications. In addition, we supply accessories designed for the specific application, e.g. pulsation dampers or safety valves in accordance with ASME and API standards.

Good reasons for a LEWA high-pressure plunger pump

LEWA high-pressure plunger pumps are plunger pumps with an integrated gear unit in a monoblock design that offer numerous advantages in relation to comparable pumps.

Easy maintenance

Fast and cost-efficient maintenance

The pump guarantees free access to all wear parts; no special tools are required for maintenance. The drive unit design also enables easy and cost-effective maintenance and servicing as a result of the divided housing.

Low admission pressure

Less suction pressure required

Due to little suction pressure loss, the LEWA plunger pump does not require any booster pump. This will not only save you costs but also maintenance time and wear parts for the booster pump.

Backflow

Internal return of leakage

Leaking fluid from any potential leaks on the packaging is returned to the inside. An external pump with its own piping and monitoring is not necessary.

Integriertes Getriebe

Internal gear unit

The gear unit's integrated double helical gearing allows for an incredibly compact design for minimum space requirements. The smooth transmission of force results in a longer service life and lower noise emissions.

Compact design

The integrated gear unit with double-helical gearing enables very compact construction and maximum efficiency. This results in a small footprint accompanied by low energy consumption. A special plunger and cross head alignment contribute to the space-saving design.

Temperature and pressure switch/transmitter

The gear unit is monitored by temperature and pressure switch/transmitter. This protects the pumps from a low oil level and overloading.

Maintenance-free pressure or spring-supported plunger seal

The innovative and easily accessible plunger seal is pressure or spring-supported. This ensures a long service life of the package. You do not have to retension the package.

Double-helical gearing

Double-helical gearing keeps the crankshaft and the pinion shaft free of any axial loads. This results in a longer service life and means less noise is generated in the plunger pump thanks to the even transmission of force.

Integrated pressurized oil lubrication system

Crosshead pins and connecting rod bearings are supplied by an integrated pressurized oil lubrication system depening on design scale. No additional lubrication systems with additional monitoring and wiring is necessary. The lubricating oil does not have to be drained for maintenance.

API 674 standard

LEWA plunger pumps fulfill the internationally valid quality standard of the American Petroleum Institute API 674. This standard defines all requirements for a displacement pump in industrial settings with respect to design, construction and performance. We would be happy to provide you with any additional certifications.

Options

Made from special materials

As a standard, wetted parts like pump heads are made of at least 1.4313 stainless steel and can also be made from special materials such as duplex or super duplex, depending on the application.

Large control range

The flow rate can vary, whereby a control range of up to 1:10 is achieved depending on utilization.

Leakage monitoring

For the processing of critical fluids, in addition to standard equipment we offer a leakage monitoring system, as well as a flushing of the stuffing box with a barrier fluid.

Vibration surveillance

For more safety in action and a long life of the plunger pump we offer an additional vibration surveillance. This is how you recognize bearing damages in an early state.

Diverse connection geometries

Our pumps are equipped with all common connection geometries such as DIN standard, BASF's high-pressure standard, American ANSI, JIS, or your individual requirements. Customized configurations are possible.

Design according to ASME, API & BS

Our plunger pumps are available as ASME, API and BS compliant versions. We gladly design your pump or system to the individual requirements of your application.

Heating and cooling jacket

With heating and cooling jackets, our pumps are suitable for almost any temperature and can convey fluids at low temperatures or extreme heat.

Design of piping

Set on over 60 years of experience in the design of pumps, equipment and systems: We support you competently in the design of pipelines.

Complete systems

We install our plunger pumps in complete systems and units, including engineering, design, calculations, acceptance and certification. Rely on our all-around service.

Performance spectrum

We offer our plunger pump in various performance variants from 75 to 800 kW.
